أٌغلق باب سَيارتِهِ. شَبابٌ ببدلاتٍ سوداء ونظارات معتمة أحاطوه. عانَقَ جماعتَهُ. لحظاتُ صَمتٍ سادَت.
- كم عَددُها؟ قال ذلك وهو يرتشفُ قهوتَه.
- لا أدري. أخْبَرَني أحدُهم رَقماً خيالياً ضِمْنَ المُجَمّع السّكَني. شُققٌ تَحلُّ أزمة السّكن وتقضي على العشوائيات وتخفّف من معاناةِ أصحاب الدخل المحدود وتجعلُ المعسكر المهجور جَنًّةً عامرة. شركاتٌ تبني وتبيعُ إلى المواطنين بالآجل بتسعيرةِ وكفالةِ الوزارة. لكن..
- ولكن ماذا؟
- ألَم تُبَلَّغ؟
- قل ما عِندك أوّلاً.
- حَسَناً. ألمشروع يجب أن لا يُنَفَّذ. يجب إفشاله مهما كلّف الأمر.
- وهل سَيُسْعِفُنا التصويت؟
- بالتأكيد. لقد حُسِمَت الأغلبيةُ بإذن الله.
- رائعٌ وأكثر. لِندخل إذن، ولكن لابُدَّ من الصلاة أوّلاً. لقد حانَ وقتُ صلاة الظهر.
"THE NOON PRAYER"
He Closed his car door. Young men in black suits and dark glasses surrounded him. He embraced his group. Moments of silence prevailed.
